Digging Through Pictures
I've finally gotten to pictures from the last month of school. Things were a bit of a blur then. So far I've gotten to the Robot and Blue-White Weekend, so enjoy them. I still have to get the robot videos together. The last post will be the gradation pictures, I only had one picture on my camera so I need my parents and Kelli's, then there is the video which I haven't watched yet to see what Matt was saying while he was taping.

From the Vault
I'm back to normal (well as close as I get). Its time to start counting down to the end. With only a few weeks to go and plenty of those days likely being filled I am going to take the time when I can for some looks back at the past four years. I've been going through all my old pictures and have found some that never got posted, so when I need a quick fill I will just throw those in. I have some other ideas too so I will play around with them when I get the time.
It was Dave's Birthday but it looks like Matt got the present.

A&W
Taking a break during lab tonight Janos and I went to the new A&W/KFC. I'd been through the drive thru once before and enjoyed the combination. Actually if you could get an A&W Root Beer Float anywhere I would like the combination. But that's not the point. After you order the screen in front of the register tells you what your total is and then asks if you would like to round up to get a deal. No idea what I just said. Let's say I spent $4.25, it will ask you if you would like to make your order $5 by adding a Chicken Leg or a Chili Dog for a discount. Janos was offered a chili dog for around $.70, when it is usually around $1.20. If you like one of the two options it gives you then you are in luck. It seems to be random so that you can't keep getting the same cheap thing every time if you do find something you like. I have never seen this before and think its a fantastic idea. I could do without the talking computer voice, the cashier could just ask you if you wanted the deal. I wouldn't be surprised to see these things popping up all over.

Sports Sports Sports
I really accomplished nothing this weekend thanks to the overload of sports on TV the past two days. This is different than the previous two weekends where basketball was the only game in town.
First off the Final Four games last night were not good at all. I had no vested interest seeing as I didn't even pick any of the teams this year. Matt invited a few friends over which added some excitement to our already entertaining in-game banter.
Today however was not expected. I had just been looking forward to the Sox/Yanks. I was sitting around thinking about doing some work this morning when I put on the NASDAQ championship (it was tennis). I love watching tennis but don't usually get the chance to watch all that much. This 18-year old Nadal was taking it to Federer. Before you knew it he took the first set and looked like he was cruising. He started to fall apart and was down 4-1 so I flipped to the Sixers, who were on national TV, so my midday was going to be shot anyway. I flipped back to Tennis after a bit and Nadal was serving to tie the set, he did so and went on to win it in the tiebreaker. In the 3rd set there was another tiebreaker and he was two points from the win. Federer managed to fight back to win the set. You could just tell Nadal was done, he had given everything he had. Federer won the last two sets and was more excited than I have ever seen him in a win. This is the sort of match they used to spend a good chunk of SportsCenter highlighting and analyzing. Now we'll be lucky to see the score since we have to talk about the Yanks and Sox for a half hour then lots of NBA. Sixers managed to win too. It was a good day, except that I have a ton going on this week, but who cares.

Comedians
Got my Dane Cook ticket today! The PSU ticket office (or whoever handled this sale, screwed things up royally. On the BJC web site it says that all tickets will be general admission and that student tickets go on sale 3/31 and regular tickets 4/4. I walked by the downtown ticket office a little after noon and the line was ridiculous, so I went back after class and there were only a few people in line. I get up there and the guy tells me its not general admission. The good thing about general admission was that then everyone could by their ticket whenever and then we could all (whoever all is) go together and also I can by a ticket for Stef and she can sit with us. I start to walk away but double check that regular tickets go on sale on the 4th so I can come back then. The guy tells me that I can buy them now. What? Is there any reason to read the website? So I buy a student for myself and a regular ticket for my sister, since I only have my student ID I can't get any more cheap ones for anyone else who might want to come. I managed to get 2 of the last 4 seats on the floor, so that's pretty cool, and now it makes sense why all those people waited in line. Now as I'm leaving the girl in line behind me asks if she can borrow my ID to get an extra student ticket (you can buy up to 6 if you have IDs). She manages to round up 6 from the people around in line and the guy sells her 6 at the student price, even knowing that I had just bought one. If I would have known that I would have done the same thing and snatched up the other two floor seats, but they were already sold.
The rest of the day was filled with stand-up comedy. This morning while I was getting ready to leave Lewis Black's Comedy Central Presents was on. This is the one where there is the Starbucks across the street from a Starbucks. Classic. Then this afternoon I heard the sad news that Mitch Hedberg had passed away. I looked for some good clips but his website disappeared. Finally while I was trying to do homework tonight Rich Vos' Comedy Central Presents was on. This one I had never seen before. I liked him on Last Comic Standing 1 and he was funny on Tough Crowd but that was more from everyone else making fun of him. This show was really solid, he wasn't stuttering and didn't forget jokes half-way through. He's a really good comedian.
See what happens when I notice a theme running throughout the day. Also, if you didn't catch this week's South Park, you NEED to. It was on again tonight and I liked it just as much.
